Pier Park Naturescape

Pier Park is an 87-acre city park just one block east and north of Sitton. Classrooms have easy access to the mature forest setting, and it's a rich setting for learning about trees, the ecosystem, native and invasive plants, etc. Our 5th grade students have been helping to enrich the understory by planting native plants in sections of the park with the support of Friends of Pier Park.
